I Am So Tired of the Stupidity of Racism

I don’t understand it at all, the fact some people think they’re genetically superior?, ugh!.. stop living in the Stone Age. In fact.. wait.. I bet they didn’t even give a damn back in the Stone Age!!.. wow just shows how much a small majority have failed to evolve.

@helenS I was with Toni almost twenty years ago. So you can imagine what it was like for a white woman and a black woman to be together in the US. We had much prejudice coming from many sides.

Where do you find racism? I mean, it does exist with some, but societally it's mostly gone. What I find is that the excuse of "racism" is used and bandied about quite a bit... and those are the same people who won't engage on issues, or deal with truths (about themselves)... instead... pointing the figure at others or at society.

@SW-User Well it depends where you live and the people you work around. I work with the public on a daily basis, so I do find people making racist remarks, I have staff that make racist jokes on a daily basis, even though it may be light hearted it's a form of it. I'm from the Uk an certainly like many I have dark humour.

it's mostly gone obviously but it still exists. Now I'm not going to preach to people who are racists, That's their choice. I'm simply stating I do not like it.

I don’t watch news and could give two flying fucks about politics but I know what racism, sexism, and prejudice look and feels like when my beautiful African American ex-girlfriend and I would go places. We don’t need a full news segment or a Macey’s fucking parade, just maybe to be treated with same decency due any human being by another. 🖤

@SW-User No, it’s a social construct. There is no set gene for any of what we tend to think of as racial categories, only visible characteristics which are not nearly as accurate in determining people’s genetic similarity as is commonly thought.

I totally agree. And the people that think you can't br racist against white people are the worst. They think it's impossible for them to be racist. Racism exists in every race. That's the sad truth of it. I wish it didn't exist, but we can't control the way other people think. We just have to make sure nothing horrible ever happens again like in the past.

It was the strangest thing when I went to college 1,300 miles from home to find racist BS actually still existed.

Not that I lived a sheltered life, I have great parents, friends, and this was before the Internet and the wide spread use/abuse of awful belief structures.

Still hard for me to understand fot the most part.
