I Smoke Marijuana

Done...
A few nights ago I think I made the best decision I have ever made while stoned: I quit. I just was really not enjoying it at all...and not for the first time. This has been a growing feeling every time I toked for the last month or two.
To my former fellow tokers, smoke on! Next time you spark up, hit it once for me. I'm over it. :)

I first smoked weed when I was 14, when weed was cheap, weak and more or less plentiful in the 1970s. I smoked heavily between 18 - 22 in college. After college, I moved in with Buddhists, started meditating, and just stopped for awhile.

Fifteen years later, a friend gave me a bud. I smoked it slowly, making it last weeks.

I had no more weed until around 2002, when another friend sold me a bag. Since then, I've gone as long as 15 months without it, but I've smoked it when I've had it. Lately, though, as I've had some personal struggles in my life, and I think weed has been helpful. (See
<a href="http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/Smoke-Weed/1081189" target="ep_blank">EP Link</a> for more on that.)

The way I see it, it's no big deal if you smoke, or if you stop. That you have the sensitivity to give it up when you realize it's not helping you is to your credit. (Well done!)

No worries thunder, the weirdest stuff I've written was done while sober :D Frankly, the things I would write when stoned were garbage. Go figure! ;) lol

Kind of out of habbit, eight. I've been toking since Jr. High and had just always liked it over alcohol for weekend recreation, but have been slowing down a lot in how much I was using over the last year and in how much I liked it. The last time I actually purchased any was nearly a year ago and that was just a 1/4oz....the last gram of which I just gave away. Last Monday was the first time I just flat out did not like the way it felt to be so out of control of my thought process. :)

Definitly some good memories, pumpkin! Like there was this one time at band camp....oh, wait......but anyway :D

Thank you, TeddyBear :)
It's true...no biggie either way. I've just decided to be done for a while at least. About a year and a half ago I decided to quit, however that night someone handed me a J as a Thank You and I took it so as not to be rude. That night I told the universe that if it wanted me to continue getting stoned that it would have to provide...I wasn't going to buy any more. I didn't run out until yesterday. Two weeks ago I decided that I really did want to take a break from it...mostly to re-gain some motivation...so I asked the universe to stop providing for a while. Now that CA seems like we're about to legalize it this November, the choice of being a part time toker will be eaier than ever.

I used to have a system for munchies! Before sparking up I'd call to have a pizza delivered, pay by credit card, and tape a $5 by the front door for the tip. Then I'd toke some. By the time the munchies hit hard core I'd have forgotten that I ordered pizza and right as I was considering food choices there'd be a knock at the door. My stoned self was always grateful to my sober self for such an unexpected and wonderfully timed gift :D LOL

LOL, My stoned self would surprise my sober self by going shopping on Ebay! One to two weeks later I'd get an unexpected package - usually something I had been wanting, or at least something way cool! :p lol

Yikes Sunshine...I hope he's OK!!! That was an underlying reason as well...one of our long term guests at the motel died of lung cancer recently and motivated me to quit smoking cigs and lent toward quiting weed as well.
