Do you sometimes not attempt to joke with members

because you know
1) They will not get the joke
2) They will take it the wrong way
3) They may begin to have negative feelings about themselves
Sometimes it is best not to attempt a joke with certain members

1) Never. I live by the philosophy of "It doesn't matter if not many get the joke, the right people will."
2) If they take it the wrong way, I sincerely apologize and explain what I really meant. At that point, I hope they accept my apology and understand my true meaning. If they don't, I can't change that.
3) I REALLY hope my humor doesn't hurt anybody. That's (almost) never my intention. I get snarky sometimes with some people, I admit. But I really do try not to.

End of the day, my humor is to make me giggle. If somebody else gets a laugh out of it, wonderful!! If not...at least I got a laugh
