Sharing videos?

Asking for a friend. No, seriously - I know that’s often said with a wink, but it’s true this time. :)

If somebody wanted to send a video to another member in a message, is that done exactly the same as sending a pic? Or would the video need to hosted somewhere else (Youtube, for example), and then share the link in the PM?
