@whowasthatmaskedman Not sure about Northern Ireland but I can see them uniting with the republic and an influx of Protestants into the UK. Scotland's economy is pretty robust and their trade with the EU is increasing. They would do very well alone - better than England, I think. They are better thought of as a people!

@whowasthatmaskedman My first husband was Scottish too. I lived in Arbroath with him when he was based there. Brilliant, forthright people with hearts of gold and the ability to suss out falseness in seconds. As you say, the Romans were right to be scared of them. The only frontier of the Roman Empire that needed a huge stone wall - and the very qualities that kept Scotland independent from England for centuries. They will do great if they go independent -and we will lose immensely. Likewise the Ulsterfolk: my man did two tours there and I lived in Lisburn for a year. Survivors all.

I mean when the Brits are discussing Brexit and their politicians, for instance, or the Australians are discussing their government, I'm interested and see it as a chance to learn something. Even if I weren't interested I wouldn't be rude and tell them to stop. It's too easy to go to another post.

@bijouxbroussard I know what you mean I have friends in many different countries. My friend in Aus. tells me their economy is going down the dumps (recession) I think the same is going on in China. Not a great forecast but I think we saw it coming.

@Dianna I agree. Right now Money is really running the globe and Western Democracies are looking to use it to keep power. But China and Russia are in the same game.

@HannahSky I saw hate today. It sucked. I saw someone begging for a dollar in front of a liquor store. I know many would judge who would do so, and his asking money for food might even be an excuse, but watching a man accost him pretty much spitting on him walking into the liquor store made me question something I already knew, there is something such as bullying and aggressive behaviour.
