Technically, it still works. The screen is nixed, but the rest of the computer still functions. I can use an HDMI cable to plug the computer into my television and use it as an ad hock external monitor just so I can get all my files off the computer. I could in theory replace the screen but it's an older model laptop, and the battery is already getting sketchy, so it's cheaper and better to just get a whole new computer.

@vetguy1991 Yeah, my desk lamp broke, but it was already on its last legs so that's not a huge loss. It gives me an excuse to get a new one. And one of my bayonets was completely destroyed. The blade snapped off at the handle. I got lucky though, and it was a worthless imitation. It was a historical replica of a WWII German officer's knife. My real, authentic German officer's knife survived with no damage, so I got lucky.

@OfflineFriend Dude you have no idea how fucking pissed I would have been, I have so many irreplaceable files on this computer from old smartphone camera rolls that I would have actually cried lol

@BlueMetalChick Gotcha. In addition get Molly bolts or toggle bolts better yet. Those will do you proper. Those are exponentially better than any drywall or masonry anchor. Just being helpful hopefully.

@MethDozer I'm just glad that the computer only broke the screen. I can use my television as an external monitor to back up all my files to drives. Otherwise, I'd have lost over 40,000 files.
