What's the difference between muting and blocking ?

For me I use muting when I get annoyed by all the poop and pee posts. Blocking is for those I really can’t stand.

I honestly don't know, except muting uses up less blocks than blocking does.

Muting is, “stfu on this post “.
Blocking is, “you’re dead to me “.
