Don't you think there should be an option for a "sarcasm font", the way they do for bold/italic/underscore?
It would certainly cut down on the "controversial posts and all sorts of idiots come crawling out the woodwork".

That would defeat the purpose of sarcasm. I think a lot of the misunderstandings would have to do with lingo barrrier. For example in Australia we use cunt as a praise word as well as an insult word, and no other westerner gets it till they know and Aussie well and I have slipped once as a praise matter and someone took it the wrong way.

@SW-User Also, Brits call the rear end "bum", but one of the Americanisms for that part is "fanny", which has a decidedly different meaning in the UK.
