It's too bad Marcange deleted his account. I was hoping to say "I told you so" but he's gone.

He told me that when the Samsung Note 9 was released, it was gonna be the best phone ever and I was gonna want one. Well guess what, Note 9 is out now and it's just as pathetic and inferior as every other Samsung phone.

One of these days I need to do the research on what's the best cheap smartphone out there.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@UndeadPrivateer Cheap smartphones are a whole different realm than expensive ones. If you want my suggestion, check out Nokia, they make some of the best budget devices around. Lucky Goldstar is pretty good too but you have to make sure to fact check their specs sheets. They've been known to falsify some of their claims.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@BlueMetalChick As is usually the case with tech hardware. Duly noted on the double checking specs.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@UndeadPrivateer Yeah, they're honest most of the time but they had a couple incidents in which they claimed a device had an "all-metal unibody" but there were several parts that were plastic or metal that was coated in a very thick layer of primer. Which isn't a problem, I don't mind plastic on a phone, but them lying about it makes me upset.

I'm getting a different kind of phone next time 🙄

@SW-User Good call. Samsung phones were a good buy for the first four generations. They didn't have great specs, the camera was so-so and the screen resolution wasn't anything to remark on, but they were dirt cheap, extremely durable, lasted for years, and had a huge battery. Nowadays they're anywhere from $800-$1,000 and delicate as fuck, but still have inferior specs.
What kind of phone do you have? I kinda like the Note.
@BlueMetalChick Well the only time I do that is in my room. I have an old CD player that has a input jack that I plug my phone into to listen to music. I suppose I could just join the modern era and get a set of Bluetooth speakers, but I've never really used Bluetooth for anything before.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@IAmJess Bluetooth speakers are useful but they can be a pain in the ass. Personally I prefer the aux cord because it doesn't consume as much battery power and also it's more solid, Bluetooth signal can be a little spotty sometimes. But I do use a Bluetooth speaker in my bathroom to listen to music or news because that way I can have the speaker on one side of the bathroom, and the phone on the shelf so I can just reach out of the shower and change the song or whatever.
@BlueMetalChick Yup. That's what I've heard about Bluetooth and that's why I've never made the jump. But to be honest, my old CD player is huge and I can't remember the last time I've held a disc in my hands, never mind put one in this thing! So idk. I'm moving to a dorm room in a couple weeks ago this thing might finally be retired.
