What do you think of people who fish for compliments?

Annoying at times but I also try to empathize and understand the underlying issue, like low self-esteem.

Sometimes people need them because they have hard lives or no friends or family. People who do this all the time I don't need. And a compliment can inspire a person to keep trying and to keep surviving too. I don't mind that.

Depends. Once and a while, I get it - sometimes you just don't get attention and need a little.

Sometimes I think that their parents were too hard on them so they need to seek for approval elsewhere.

Go easy on them.
They lack confidence anywhere else.

I deliberately give them negative feedback. Oh and there's a wonderful name for those - "attention whores".

They should be used for chum on a shark boat!🤦

Most will eventually get over themselves in time. It's the very few that actually reach presidency.

They are insecure, so it's a turn off, but I feel bad they don't realize how they appear.

I think they should be careful of what they could reel in.
