Another example force is the US Armoured Platoon. This platoon consists of up to five tanks, be they M4 Shermans, M26 Pershings, or M46 Pattons. The only stipulation si that the platoon must be made up of the same type of tank. The basic platoon looks like this:
- 0-1 Command Tank
- 1-2 Armoured Sections, each of 1-2 tanks
Additional support units can be brought in, from infantry squads to armoured artillery spotters, air support to anti-tank guns.
