This is the organisation for the space marine chapter I designed.
The leader of The Nameless is the Diadoch. This title is an ancient one, spanning back to the time of legend, and means king or father in the language of the human inhabitants of Repentance.
Beneath the Diadoch are the Strategoi as well as the Sacred Phalanx. Each Strategoi is in charge of a Phalanx, while the Diadoch is in charge of the Sacred Phalanx. There are 11 Phalanxes in total that make up the chapter; the Sacred Phalanx is the first, while the others consist of Shock, Combat, and Support units.
Phalanxes 2 and 3 are designated as Shock Phalanxes, and are made up of assault squads and vanguard veterans. Known colloquially as "the Forsaken", these are the marines who form the spearhead of an assault, and their assets are parcelled out to other Phalanxes. Marines in these Phalanxes are generally considered the bravest and most beloved of the Sky Father, but also the most likely to die.
Phalanxes 4-9 are Combat Phalanxes. These are the core of the chapter, and comprise of regular marines in several different roles. There are 6 Sternguard Squads, 12 Tactical Squads in each Phalanx, as well as 6 Tank-Hunter Squads and 6 Fire Support Squads; each squad has a Sergeant and 4 Hoplites, with the Fire Support Squads containing Heavy Bolters and the Tank-Hunter Squads containing Lascannons. In addition, there are three Locharios within each Phalanx, serving as junior officers and commanding 2 Sternguard, 4 Tactical and 4 Support Squads each, as well as an unknown number of Peltasts; each Phalanx recruits from one of the 10 major tribes on Repentance. Armoured support is organic to each Phalanx, with a number of Predators and Razorbacks providing support.
The 10th and 11th Phalanxes are the Reconnaissance Phalanxes. The 10th consists of Bikers, Land Speeders, and Peltast Bikers, while the 11th consists of Peltast Snipers.
Finally, the First Phalanx, known as the Sacred Band, consists almost entirely of terminator squads. They are led by the Diadoch, and hark back to the Lost King's own Sacred Band. The Sacred Band of the 41st Millennium seeks to atone for what they see as a grievous failing in not protecting the Lost King in the time of legend, and seek to recover his body wherever it may be.
