Your Mum sounds really nice Kim. I absolutely dont think you should be embarrassed about having a set bedtime, most teens need more sleep then they actually get. You just need to tell them that your Mum knows best - have they said anything to you about it then?.

I took care of my dad till he passed away. He lived in my home with me. At night I would help him get to bed, I would pull the covers back for him and cover him up. He loved it and so did I. It's a very fond memorie.
