I Want to Share My Poetry

I call this "A World Without You". My inspiration behind this poem comes from the loss of a really close friend of mine. Without further ado...

[i]I look up into the sky and what do I see?

A world without You.

The laughter we once shared is now a distant memory.
Memories of days long past. Now long gone.

How those days shine in my heart.
They filled me up with hope, gave me life.

But now I'm left with a sting
A pain that will not flee
The pain gnaws at my heartstrings
Waiting for you to free me from this sting
On a distant day beyond my dreams

As I feel the wind's breeze, I think of you.
As the moon changes shape, I think of you.
As the days keep passing by... I'm still thinking of you.
I can't help but ask, why is it you?

I look up at the sky and think about what we once were
What was once loved is now always loathed.

I think of this life without you
And I ask myself "what was it worth?"
As I look up at the sky and pray for a new hope to be, I face my regrets for what could have been.

In the end, I must admit
My life feels so empty without You in it..

My Fear took the wheel
And costed me what was real..... [/i]
