Do you ever feel that you were fooled by fake news when you were younger? [I'm Affectionate]

AbbeyRhode · F
Absolutely. It was more subtle then, but once I learned what to look for, I was horrified at the degree of manipulation they used to make people think exactly what they want. They bend and twist the little truth they do use, pepper in negative descriptions of those they oppose, and lavish compliments on those they want us to like. I started to realize what was going on when I noticed the increasingly childish insults they directed at a politician they didn't like. I began to analyze what they said about him and others, and could see the propaganda for what it was.

I was never tricked by that shit, no matter how young I was. The media does an absolutely mediocre job of race baiting and all that stupid crap and somehow, people still fall for it all.
not quite as much fake news when i was a kid, but, it was there...... the paperboy delivered it every day. LOL

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Our city’s newspaper was locally owned up until this last decade and it has increasingly taken a left turn slant. Sucks, less local news

I remember CNN was so bored they decided to make up a story about an airplane disappeared out of nowhere and thought to be paranormal

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you don't know what "fake news" REALLY is.

Yes. It happens.

We're all naive at one point.
