@LyricalOne I guess they figured that 'Lyrics say it better than words', rolls off the tongue better than 'Lyricists can write lyrics of songs better than I can put my own thoughts into words myself' ...

Others put together some semblance of a sentence and it has zero impact.
Both could be trying to say the same thing. Both are words.
