My grandmother took me to church as often as possible, and my Catholicism is hugely flavoured by this weekly experience.

During school holidays I was often found accompanying my grandmother to morning prayers daily, and I will ever be grateful to her for it.

Exposure to a religious identity is crucial I feel to a child's sense of place and worth, and it is a keen measure by which a person can self identify.

Agreed that a child developing a strong sense of place and worth is a vital matter.
What other no religious mechanisms are there through which a child can achieve this and what are the costs of early exposure to a religious identity. Is religious identity consistent with individual identity with reference to EU judgment on wearing of Burkha in Belgium?
