Is it becoming too dangerous to go to crowded events?

I'm not a big fan of crowds anyway so don't expect me to attend any big gatherings.

No, it's not. There are thousands of such venues every month, and while it's shameful that such attacks happen at all, they're extremely rare. 🤔
