What do blind people dream of?

SW-User
I'm blind. My dreams are very vivid, but there is nothing visual about them. In dreams, like in reality, I touch and hear things, but my brain has never experienced visual stimulation, so I don't get to see through dreams either

Depends if they went blind later in life or at birth

Dream is the only way blind people can see (I think)

My guess is that they dream of being able to see

@Alex1610: most likely no. That's what happens to them. They cannot imagine colours (which are a reflection of white light).

The images we see during outreach dreams are not brand new, they're just some of the things our brains absorbed from the exterior world. It does not happen to blind people.

@MrMarkus: Ah, I see. Sorry for my ignorance :P Thanks for telling me anyways :)

@Alex1610: it's alright, Alex. You're welcome 😊
If they weren't born blind, things they saw before then.

Otherwise there dreams are sounds and smelss and purhaps touch

Touch, smell, sounds. Unless they used to be able to see. In that case they also see images
taintedprincess · 46-50, F
Being able to see probably
Mordi · 31-35, M
Most likely, murder.

It might probably be less visually striking or accurate if they are blind from birth but they should be able to have better conversations and dialogues in their dreams.
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
More memorable dialogues, that's interesting. I don't tend to remember much aside from the visualizations in my dreams.

@Winterwanderer: In my opinion our dreams or imaginations are always based on our knowledge. Since blind people(from birth) have never experienced anything through their visual sense they have to learn and perceive things from the touch, speaking, and listening. And it could also make their usable senses better than people who can see because brain can concentrate on those senses more.

Imagine were we able to, at once, experience our every sense in vivid detail.
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
Probably much more meaningful shit than those of us who have SIGHT.
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
Why more meaningful?

Where's the facepalm icon when you really need it? LOL
