do you think its normal to think about suicide

I think about it. Sometimes often. I hate the fact I am forced to conform and feel it would be better just to end it all

I think so. People like to take the path of least resistance. We don't like being challenged, which sucks because that's all life really is. So to kind of avoid having to deal with those challenges, we employ all sorts of defense mechanisms to get around it. Sometimes we'll resort to suicide when the challenges are too abstract to find a solution for. I know I do.

I think about suicide at least once a week, usually more. I've held a loaded gun to my head more than a hundred times by now. And it's not even that I want to die. I just don't want to keep living this way and don't know how to stop. It's what I think a lot of people would resort to if they found themselves stuck in the same situation. There's just no guidance or answers to help us cope with our problems otherwise

I understand the feels. I think people who don't think about suicide are as common as people who don't masturbate.

That said, you should take action to keep yourself safe if you find yourself thinking of means of suicide that are realistic and lethal. If you are frequently suicidal (and even if it's rare) having a safety plan can really help.

I'm in the same situation. I don't think it's normal to be honest...I think anyone that thinks about suicide needs professional help. Including me!

I wonder if it's abnormal. But then again, life is full of hardships so maybe any living being, even animals, at some point think of death.
It's not normal. I think about it very often.

I know what you mean...

It would be better to not conform.

Why?
@Johntom: Because if you spend your whole life living a way to wake up one day to everything you love and know to change and not in a good way but a perverse sick way and be told you must accept this or your crap it's awful. It's complicated. But if I didn't have kids I wouldn't probably not be here anymore

I'm not going to pretend to understand your predicament. I don't.

But ask yourself. If that's the easy way or the hard way?

Especially if you have kids. The hard way is often the better way. Make yourself valuable enough to be alive. If not for you, for your kids.
