Did the BeeGees talk in the same tone of voice that they sang in?

Like that was their regular voice?

I doubt it. As far as I know that is called singing in Falsetto. Apparently it's difficult to do that while still making the vocals audible. I enjoy listening to "Stayin' alive" now and then because it just sounds so darn happy ,upbeat and amusing.
