So i spoke with the insurance adjuster.

The RV of course is a total loss. There isn't any walls or roof left on it, so no surprise there.

From what he was able to see of the truck, the frame is warped, the tailgate is smashed up badly and he suspects the suspension is completely shot. But he won't know the total damage until they get it to the dealership.

It's a 2016 F150 with well over a 100k miles on it, yet he has it reported as "repairable" and estimated $4,000 in damages. I asked him if he was smoking something before he came up with that figure.

Take it to ford to get fixed.screw them
@cherokeepatti my plan is to let Ford handle it. There is no way they will work on all that is wrong for just $4000. The insurance company will have to total it. Then I get a new one

@PrivateHell they're in the denial business. We had to go before a administrative court judge for the wifes long-term disability for cancer

@MarineBob they don’t like lawsuits though so a letter from a lawyer can get their attention really quick.

How did it get damaged?
@justanothername what sucks is I am a full-timer. Everything I had was in the RV
justanothername · 51-55, M
@PrivateHell Were you fully insured?
@justanothername yes. Full coverage and gap insurance

Thats just criminal
@LunarOrbit I bet he wouldn't fix it for 4k

@PrivateHell I had a scrape on my bumper...2003 GMC dually. Hardly noticeable but my buddy owned up to it and covered repair. $1700. New bumper was 800 plus tax. Labour and little paint was the balance.
Sounds like yours should be written off. Especially if frame is bent

@Stereoguy no. Still owed $14k on the RV. They are going to pay it off and give me the balance of its value. The plan is to get another RV, depending on what happens with the truck.
