I've noticed a consistent pattern with conspiracy theorists

They will do anything in their power to not give you their "evidence", as they either have none to begin with or know it's unreliable and would not stand up to any scrutiny. As soon as you back them into a corner in an argument they will deflect, evade (eg. "I don't HAVE to prove anything to YOU"), and most commonly belittle and attack the other person as "one of them" or "a sheep".

It's the same old crap, if you can't prove your point then attack the other person's character or make them into a characature so you don't have to listen to them and can protect your belief structure. At least that's what people do when they don't know how to form an argument, can't, or are simply being dishonest and trying to save face.

It's ironic because most of them will call others out for apparently believing everything they hear whereas they listen to every bit of crap they hear on the internet and only stick to their biased sources that are obviously biased to any outsider looking in. It's the typical Dunning-Krugar effect, when you don't have the awareness of the ability to recognise your own incompetance. It's dangerous stupidity and its rampant.

Most conspiracy theorists all have the same problem, they can never defend their position because for the most part they are just repeating what they've read or watched. There is no thought behind what they are spouting, they are just copying and pasting what someone else has created, it doesn't take a whole lot of brain power to do that... If you make the mistake of challenging them, most respond that you are a sheep or blind or stupid, pretty much all the same 馃ゴ
