There are some things which you can only find in Falakata
1) Borelli fish: These pong fishes are only found in Northern part of West Bengal and mainly in Falakata.
2) Tasty mutton: Back in 2016, my uncle said that there is a chef in Falakata who makes the tastiest mutton curry.
3) huts made of tin: You can only find huts made of tin in Falakata and other places in the Dooars. In rest of India,villages only have huts made of mud and twigs.
4) Yummiest momos: The steamed dumplings named momos which originated from Tibet are the yummiest in Siliguri and Falakata.
5) Mahakalbari: There is nowhere in the world where there is place called Mahakalbari other than Falakata.
6) Wooden cycle rickshaws: only in Falakata the 3 wheeled cycle rickshaws are wooden. In Other parts of West Bengal it is made of metal.
