Jacks...
bijouxbroussard · F
@sciguy18 Gawd, I remember that. My sister was always leaving jacks out 😳
sciguy18 · M
@bijouxbroussard Boys didn’t generally play with those back in the day, so they’re one thing I never stepped on.
PhoenixPhail · M
@sciguy18 Yeah. Those would be bad. 😖
4meAndyou · F
Sandburs. If they are dry, the spikes break off inside your foot.

@cherokeepatti I don't blame you a bit. I would move on, as well. I hope your daughter is doing well. (hug)

@PhoenixPhail She didn’t really understand why I did it, that was the bad part. I tried to tell her how cruel they were acting about her illness and it just didn’t sink in. As sensitive as she is it would have hurt her so bad, I was trying to protect her from more stress.
PhoenixPhail · M
@cherokeepatti I'm glad you protected her from more stress. It was the loving thing to do.
I wish I had as good a mom as you are. ❤️

Snake, I stepped on a small one but it wasn’t aggressive. I looked it up to find out what kind and it’s called a worm snake, the territory map was about one county east of here so they had migrated a bit. Also said they were not aggressive and usually just hang out in places where they can eat bugs.

I walked into a bees nest, they had swarmed to the side of the road, they came up right above my ankle like a boot, I stepped out again & ran away & didn't realise you said bare feet doh!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Star1 I stepped on a big hornet with the side of my foot (was wearing flip flops) one time, the hornet was eating pears that had fallen over the fence from the neighbor’s tree. I ran into the house and poured vinegar on the sting and it stopped hurting and left no red mark.
Star1 · F
@cherokeepatti eek, I never got stung once

I accidentally walked through some broken glass with my feet bare.Somehow I had not seen it.My friend told me and I had heard the glass crunch and break under my soles. My feet are very tough with thick hard skin.No injuries I just brushed off my soles with a hand and kept on walking.

A rusty nail in the barnyard. All the 'organic material' attached to the nail can cause sepsis in the wound.
craig7 · 70-79, M
Anything with a sharp point or edge - and usually small enough not to notice before stepping on it.

I dunno. The first thing that came to mind was that scene in "A Quiet Place" lol
