What is this about some idiosyncratic effect the proposed Covid vaccine is supposed to have on our DNA?

I read something here earlier but barely perused not sure what this is about?

It’s a sort of designer vaccine genetically modified for higher efficacy to immunize. It resulted in sort of a false claim of that based on a interview with Dr Andrew Kaufman talking about someday being able to inject genes into humans by a procedure known as “electroporation” that would supposedly generate immunity someday. It’s been debunked. I’m more concerned with how long immunity from vaccination will even last, since that’s been shown to be a very variable immunity time frame.

@Grateful4you np. These false claims can spread so fast due to the internet that you have to be diligent. lol

@DarkHeaven unfortunately to measure long term immunity.... Takes a long term

I think every one is expecting something like 1 to 2 years given previous coronavirus experience.
@SW-User Many people have become re-infected after already catching this virus in as little as three months later and what little has been shown, doesn’t seem that the vaccine will be any different. It is very worrisome.

I suspect the network news would be a good source.
@Jill1990 Just be careful. One of the meds I take seriously suppresses my immune system and makes me high risk. I’ll definitely immunize but until I know how long immunity lasts, I’m not sure I’ll take the chance. I don’t want to die by suffocation on a ventilator. ✌️

@DarkHeaven Well, hopefully we will know more about it by them. No one knows much now other than the drug companies, but I’m optimistic. It’s nice to feel upbeat for a change.
@Jill1990 I Agree. Light and love. 🖤

Obviously the mere mention of this has me feeling retarded in some fashion. Wtf did you just ask?
@Iwillwait Only intelligent people say that. A dullard would call himself a "very stable genius"
@Iwillwait That’s the very step to learning. 😊

This doesn't exactly answer your question and i'm no scientist but one thing i feel confident about is that there won't be just one vaccine that will go to everyone on the planet. Instead, there is a multitude of them which have been developed using different types of methods and will work in various ways - ie come at the problem from different directions, so groups of people will get certain ones. It's a fast tracked process the likes of which we have never seen, but i have confidence that we will be ok long-term.
@SW-User Thank you bud. I think the claim has been soundly debunked. Happy to say.

Because people who barely know the alphabet want to say their opinion about medicine, unfortunately.
@Elessar I've heard pretty well informed opinions on this, you may want to read further and check the links provided. Thanks for the comment.

@Grateful4you The currently proposed vaccines against the novel coronavirus are mRNA based. The biological transcription process involving this molecule is well understood (even taught in high schools), and this molecule doesn't fuse with the DNA in the nucleus.
