Am I the only one who enjoys being an adult far more than I enjoyed being a kid?

Of course there are things I miss about childhood but all in all my life is far more enjoyable and full now than it was when I was a child.

@SW-User my aunt’s kitty was like that, she had a “don’t fucking touch me or look at me just give me treats and food and leave me the fuck alone unless you want me to piss on your pants” vibe😳

I doubt it.

I remember when I was a kid there was cleaner who used to say, "make sure you enjoy your childhood; it's the best time of your life."

She couldn't have been more wrong.

My childhood was the worst phases of my life.

Things began to improve as soon as I left home at 18.
But even with that, I soon found I had PTSD, depression and codependency.
I was too slow in learning my lessons.

But the life I have now is a very good one.
I am healthy, content and happy in late middle age.

The only thing I don’t like is the 40 hour work week. Everything else is badass

I like it. , I don’t like the fact I missed out on half of my teen years , I would love to go back and actually do fun things with them. My childhood was really fun I do miss that. The thing I don’t like about being an adult is not having friends that hang out with me and do fun things with me , It really makes me sad.
Same here. I used to worry about growing up as kid, thinking it was going to be miserable, but this is so much better. I feel like I have more freedom to cultivate a life that makes me happy.

I like being an adult but what i dislike is 'my' reality.... the reality of having a criminal file, and i wish it was like before when i had none...

that is strange as usually it tends to be the other way around childhood is more care free and when you reach adulthood reality bites hard @eternity

I like both for different reasons.
I like being an adult but I'm a big kid.
