Do you take things literally?

When I was eight or nine, I heard my uncle use the term "the cat's pajamas." In my mind'I visualized an animated (I think) cat in pajames.

Yes. Very much so. When I was about 6, I was told I'd be taken to school in a car pool. And I actually believed it would somehow be a swimming pool inside a car.
