Did you have strict parents?

They were a little bit strict. My mom expected respect but she wasn’t abusive. My step dad could be abusive at times. He even touched my little sister after I moved out. She changed a lot after that.

Growing up, yes. They were in a particularly religious state of mind when I was young and it led to a lot of clashing between us, especially my mom and I. They've calmed down as life has progressed though. :)

They where when I was young but then when I was a teen I did whatever I wanted.

Kind of. My dad can be, but he’s also really loving and understanding. I think what makes it seem bad is that he’s so loud, but like always shouting, he’s just loud. He’s very annoying though, especially lately but I suppose it’s also my fault. My mom can be strict, but it doesn’t seem so bad because she’s so quiet.

Strict to me, but my sisters got free rein. Hell, they didn't even get punished when they were arrested for shoplifting OR drunk in public. But god help me if I even smelled like cigarette smoke (friends were big smokers).

Yes. They were VERY strict. In a way, I suppose that led to the development of my creativity, in finding ways to get around that...😂

Dad. Yes. That’s why I was a good kid for the most part. Today you can’t yell at them, can’t punish them, can’t discipline them. Just say go think about what you’ve done. SMH
