Should everyone learn a foreign language before they die?

poisonouscupcake · 22-25, F
yeah, learning another language can be so helpful for improving the quality of speech in your native language. plus it opens up communication with so many more people and it allows you to learn a new culture and possibly visit the place where it’s spoken.

@poisonouscupcake That is really interesting!

I think it would prove useless after death.

Definitely yes. Actually, where I live most of us learn more than just one...

[Disclosure: the author of this post earns his living by teaching languages]

Should? Eh
Some people learn other languages and never get to use them.
Good exercise for the brain though.

So that you can speak it for the rest of your life?
FrostPunkLife · 22-25, F
@alan20 Well, so they can have experience a different way of communicating.

@FrostPunkLife Trying to make a joke out of "before you die". You're right of course!

I've been thinking about it for awhile now. Just need the proper motivation really.

I think studying foreign languages is beneficial and can actually improve your understanding of your own native language. Of course I am slightly biased because I enjoy it but still.
