Do you have any author whose writing you dislike?

I’ve read multiple books my George Orwell in hopes of finding the one that would make me fall in love with his writing, since his books seem to be popular.

I haven’t been able to really get into any of them. 💀
I’m sorry George Orwell fans.

He was being kind to the woman that asked. You know how those impositions can get I’m sure. 😏
To much rape & infanticide for me!
But these are the big themes that make Conan the Barbarian such a great series!

I had a serious problem with "Mein Kampf".
Not only was it badly written... some parts just didn't make anny sense. 🙇

Sorry for the LOTR Tolkien fans... Even tough the guy can write a good story, that series could have been one book shorter. Yes, I understand, they are walking around. But I don't need to know the colour of every flower they encounter, every rock they see, how fluffy the clouds are... and find out 10 pages later that they travelled just a few inches from the tavern they just left.

I also have a problem with Karl Marx. You are writing an annalysis and criticism of classical economy... it should be able to do that without turning some parts into a political pamphlet.

And Aldous Huxley... damn I love Huxleys' books: Island and Brave New World (and the Doors of perception, even though this ain't fiction)... I love it because of the story and what's behind it. But Aldous, my man... you can't write, specially fiction is terrible for you. But great stories.

James Joyce..
Had to read Ulysses for finals and I swear to God...
If I knew him now... I'd fecken TP the man's house..
I'd rather boil my own head than read his jargon again.

1984 is one of my favorites from George Orwell. I don't like Joseph Conrad's writing style. His book Heart Of Darkness confused tf out of me.

J. R. R. Tolkien. To this day I still hate Hobbits.

1984 would be my favorite Novel although in can be stark in description and dystopian.
I have enjoyed Nietzsche in my late teens and realized that he HATES religion of any kind although he was kind to Zoastorianism.
I can't think of any because I never made it past a few chapters.... they're dead to me. 😄
