Can we please stop talking about politics all the time and start talking about music, movies, fashion and books?

Conservatives conserve what they believe is best about our core values and old fashioned thinking and customs. Without them, nothing worthwhile would be perserved and there could be no civilization.

Liberals are the ones who challenge old customs they think have worn out their usefulness, like segregation back in the day. And they come up with new ways of doing things. They are willing to experiment with society although it is obvious most experiments fail. Without liberals, democracy would never have had a chance. The wheel might never have been invented.

Liberals need to be checked by conservatives lest the best of civilization be destroyed. Conservatives need to be challenged by liberals lest bad old ideas and customs hang in there forever.

Conservatives and liberals need each other to keep a democratic society in balance.
