Most of that stuff is pretty normal for an 8 year old, but you gotta teach 'im to listen to the sitter.
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
Sounds like he needed to get out of the house and burn off some energy. "Hey, see how fast you can run all the way over to that tree. Twenty seconds, nice! Now try to beat your record!"

Normal. She was pissed cause most likely he interrupted her quality time with her phone
Jenni855 · 36-40, F
@SW-User No, I resent that actually as she is in her thirties and very reliable.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Seems like something a school teacher would report on not a baby sitter.

I would seriously address #1 & #2 (#2 only if it was in the house and he wasn't supposed to be doing it) because they could be problematic. But #3 & #4 are just kid stuff.
Butterflykisses24 · 51-55, F
If she's been with you 4 years and not normally complaining,I'd say something is up.
Butterflykisses24 · 51-55, F
@Jenni855 He was misbehaved.
Jenni855 · 36-40, F
@Butterflykisses24 Yes. Just feel it was a bit OTT on her side

It’s totally normal behavior - but too much normal 8-year old behavior is bad behavior.

Conversely, good behavior is being able to stop normal child behavior on command.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
It may be kinda normal, but it’s still bad behavior. And needs to be addressed.
CodeLyoko · 16-17, M
I can be see 1 and 4 of his mis behaving but weird how she reported him playing as being bad
SW-User
Its normal if you allow it. If you don't then its not normal.
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
Annoying but normal.
jaymic64 · M
Sounds normal
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I would say his attitude while engaging in these activities could have been the problem. She has been with him long enough to know him well.
Sounds like a normal 8 year old.
But, I wasn't there. If I were you I would try to delve deeper into finding out what she means.
BearDownChicago · 41-45, M
The not listening part is annoying but to you point all is part if a normal 8 year old
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
After 4 years I'd imagine that she is familiar with his normal behavior and that this was not normal

Their is probably a reason why he is acting the way he is at your sisters house, He would not behaving like that in my house lol
Jenni855 · 36-40, F
@Justenjoyit It was in my own house and she is my sitter. So you don't think she was over reacting?
What you are describing is normal. Is that what she is describing?
