Would you say this is unusual?
To have a college student home for the summer (From June till September) and for that student to stay at home and not do any form of work throughout that time?

I think if he/she's at home, the parents might not ask or tell their child to do any work. But then, too, a few $$$ from the "student" from a part time job, might help the parents. The only other thing I can think of it that said student, though not working, might be getting ready to go back by studying while at home.

@soar2newhighs He is studying still but is not in college for a large chunk of time because colleges take long breaks
