Anyone else find Christmas overrated?

I find it incredibly boring and don't get all the fuss 😕
Then I guess all your christmases must have sucked

You have to be a little kid at heart to really enjoy Christmas. I have always loved the sparkling lights and the decorations, the breathless anticipation of seeing if my loved ones LOVE the gifts I bought them...the smell of a balsam fir with shiny ornamented boughs, food that only makes its appearance once a year...I love all of those things.
Nah, I enjoy holidays in general and find majority of them fun. I think it depends on how you spend it, and the people you surround yourself around.

To me it's one of the higlights of the year, because the whole S family will gather in my house. So many beautiful people.

It's nice when you have young children, but it's also lots of frustration trying to make it perfect for them.

Christmas is for children, when they grow up and leave .Christmas loses its appeal.

Xmas rocks as kid, but as you get older...🤷‍♂️

The commercialized version who's only goal is to rob you of every penny you have and will have till next Christmas, yes. Celebrating God's love for us expressed by his being born into this world, not so much.

I'm usually the quiet celebrator. I love family time and all the Christmas lights. I love how people become kinder. For that I wish every day was a celebration of kindness. Everything else.. Is just details :)

@Jenni855 the spirit of it, celebrating family and friends and being with them, cherishing what we have.
