How does the average American know that they're Free?

Their government tells them they are.
Mostly it is a belief in myths and legends and it is also a belief held almost exclusively by the privileged classes. No poor person from the inner city labours under such delusions.

Believe it or not a lot of people here READ so your talking out of your ass doesn’t fly. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
@jackjjackson Just because I don't repeat your ideological sound bites does not magically make it false. You are literally walking back your own posts and hoping nobody notices.

I published real stats and the source to prove them. You’ve simply written out of your ass as per usual @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
We can worship without worrying about getting the door kicked in. We can talk smack about the government without worrying about retribution. We can go to naughty video arcades and spank it. We can watch just about anything imaginable and spank it. We can stand on two sides of a street and scream at each other in large groups with weapons and ammunition on our person. We can block traffic and march down the street screaming for the brutal murder of police officers under police escort. We can be stupid unto failure and smart unto success to our hearts content! We are pretty damn free. We are pretty damn molly coddled too! Unfortunately we are about to do the political evolution boogie again!

We have individual freedom to choose. People come here for the freedom that America has. All Americans know they are free.
@BobbieT Those stalwart members of grievance industry would consider themselves oppressed in paradise! They scream that they are not free, and yet they are trying to posit a totalitarian system that would truly take away the freedoms we have!

And I love how some ppl actually think they are free.
@Powderflask Are you being philosophical? I mean, you could have at least gone with Janice Joplin!

@puck61 No I was referring to the literal government restrictions on individual rights.
@Powderflask Well, this is as free as people get. That's why millions risk their lives and spend their last penny to live here.
