Nope. I've been paying into it my whole life. That's how it works

From what I’ve paid so far, I’m pretty much set to retire in the next 10 years assuming I live to be 70.

I pay into a superannuation.. I’ll be somewhat self funded..

I paid into Social Security for about thirty years. Now I'm living on it and lucky if I get to eat every day.
