In your opinion what makes a Man a Man?

What is your personal belief about what a man should be in today's world?

@Psycho Agreed. Good character traits like honesty, bravery, responsibility, sincerity, etc. apply to both genders.

A man should be a person why goes through this world and takes care of his responsibilities, he should treat every person with respect and look exactly like Sly Stallone

@JarJarBoom I look more like Sam Elliott than Sly Stallone, though....guess I’m just not what I should be.

My opinion doesn't match the world's anymore. I think we expect men to be far too feminine for my taste.
Blame the feminists

Someone who treats his everyday contacts (including wife and children) with friendship and respect, including those of the opposite sex. Pets and other animals are not abused or mistreated either.

Generally a good world citizen...probably something that goes beyond gender (ie doesn't matter if your a man or a woman...just be a good person!)….

I think a man should take ownership of who he is. He should acknowledge his weaknesses and embrace his strengths. He should strive to have compassion, to be forthcoming, to have principles and morals and not let people walk all over him. I think what a man should be shouldn't rise above this level of generality and I don't think anything I said couldn't apply to women as well.

I'm not a big stickler for gender roles. If a man is stereotypically masculine, good for him. If a man is like me and is not stereotypically masculine in almost any way I don't think it's a problem either.

It's not what it used to be

@kodiac LMAO off at the "man bun"

I kind of look at it in terms of, what should a proper human be like. A man should definitely be hard working, responsible, caring..but so should a woman. I definitely think men and women are different and they bring different skills to the table, but for the most important things I think what they should be is pretty much the same.
he has to appreciate a good woman and treat her right
