On this father's day.....

Do you have any fond memories of your dad you'd like to share?

Was your Dad in your life?

What's your view on father's day?

My Dad is awesome. I dropped his good sockets down the basement drain because they made a lovely musical sound and he patiently fished them back out. I would make “stew” for my imaginary dog and keep it in the corner of the shed where I was told later it would basically ferment and the smell would about knock him over when he’d open the door. But he never said a word. I found his pretty blue spray paint and decided to create a new race of ants by painting them blue, creating instead only a decorative polka dotted sidewalk. I was a bit put out that it didn’t work, but he thought it was hilarious. He read to me, taught me to skip rocks and make a fried egg sandwich, pitched me the ball, and told me “this too shall pass” when I cried. We exchange books and share a love of history. He has been the rock of my life. ❤️

My dad and I have always been close. I’m his only son and the only child of him and my mom (my half-sister’s are from his previous marriage). It’s not a major holiday, but I like it and since I’m about to become a father myself, I’m happy to celebrate my dad. I couldn’t imagine being a father without him as a role model.

He left on a rocket when I was born. I enjoy hearing women talk about their love for their Dad's
Definitely a minor holiday.
