How true is that?

I realized something very strongly recently once you lose everything precious to you and everything that you ever worked for and loved comes crashing down then at first you break, but then it gives you ultimate strength or maybe numbness that you rise beyond it. You become so strong or numb(still trying to figure out which) that you are able to take in what ever next shit world throws at you and you just become hulk from outside and survive not wanting anything not desiring any thing.Am I right or have I gone crazy?

Really depends on a lot of context. As any torturer throughout history will tell, everyone has a breaking point they don't come back from.

The Phoenix, rising from the ashes. Stronger and more beautiful than before.............The caterpillar, not very attractive, and on death's doorstep. Fighting it's way out of the cocoon to emerge as a beautiful butterfly.

very true!
Hard to generalize, because not everyone reacts to setbacks in a uniform way. Some people do become stronger or resolute in response so that they can deal with anything more that comes their way. Others completely fall apart and become fearful of even moderate disappointments going forward.
