What inspires you?

Upbringing, conscience, surroundings.

Life. More specifically everything. My responsibilities; my friends; my opportunities to help others; my faith; my athletes; my desire to make my grandchildren proud.

Even so I am plagued with bouts of selfishness; fatigue; fear of failure or maybe just fear. I often remember my childhood and the poverty and feel like I’m a pretender.

But those challenges motivate me as well.

Now, to be self dependent

God.

Fear of regression. A desire to say "Fuck you, watch this" to people who doubt me. Other peoples' strength and drive.

And the best, most succulent revenge. A well lived life.

that these scars i have are mine, they shape and strengthen me to keep going
