@SW-User Something I can't claim - at least, not truthfully...

@helenS
I even got the tee shirt!
😉

Living in the northeast, all of the popular prog rockers played somewhere nearby.

@SW-User Lucky you! I can claim Pink Floyd (the seventies line-up) but not Genesis.

@TheThinker ... and the drummer was Phil Collins. That Phil Collins! His drumming on "Musical Box" is excellent I have to say.

@TheThinker i saw pink Floyd do the wall...
It was a fluke, the show was sold out months before they played, one night my sister's old boyfriend called her and said he had six tickets that he couldn't use for whatever reason but we had to take them immediately..
Of course we got them, they were expensive for those days and they were up in the back but it turned out great because we could see the entire stage..
It was a HUGE production,, incredible for the time, nothing even came close..
What a show!

@SW-User Same here, saw it once at Earl's Court in August 1980 and again in June 1981, the night before one of my O-Levels!

My first partner (a few years older than me) saw them do Dark Side at the Rainbow in '72... and is also briefly visible in the Ziggy Stardust film as one of the over-excited teenage girls near the front.

@TheThinker i saw them at the Nassau colosseum in New York..
I think they did three or four shows and then went out to the west coast..

@SW-User Heh, when you said "northeast" I thought you meant the northeast of England... as there used to be quite a prog scene around that part of the world, albeit neither Pink Floyd nor Genesis.

Yes, they originally did seven nights in LA, five in NY, then six in London.

Then in 1981 they did eight in Dortmund, Germany, and another five in London.  I actually thought it was just five in each venue but Wiki tells me otherwise: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wall_Tour_(1980–81)#Tour_dates
