Does anyone else feel uncomfortable eating in public?

I used to, but after being in the army, I stopped caring. If people don't like the way you eat, they can turn away. So, keep eating!

Not necessarily eating so much as I don't like being stared at while eating.

Not really. I do if I'm eating something messy.

It's kind of weird actually...if I'm in a restaurant it doesn't bother me (except when there's that one other customer at a nearby table who likes too stare), but I do not for some reason like to eat at gatherings like with co-workers at a company dinner, party, pic-nic, etc. (I usually skip those).

Depends where I am. For example, if you're watching a play and you have some crunchy sounding popcorn that you want to eat
