How to differentiate between complete and finished ?

Though both sounds similar, there appears to be a small difference. Often we struggle to differentiate between them.
One funny way to look at is ....
If you marry a right person you become [b]complete[/b].
But if you marry a wrong person you are [b]finished[/b].

One can be finished with something long before it's complete. I've finished working on things that are far from being completed.

@SooperSarah wouldn't it be more accurate if we say ' I've stopped working on things that are far from being completed. Nevertheless interesting way to look at it 👍️

@Neena think of it like a puzzle that's missing a piece. You can put together all pieces you have. At that point the box is empty and you've finished assembling the puzzle as it is, but it's not complete.
