I prayed today for the first time in years

I was raised Catholic and describe myself as an agnostic because being raised in a strict religion from childhood it is hard to denounce that religion but tonight, for the first time in a long time, I prayed to God for a sign and some guidance.

Let’s hope for once he’s listening.

This is just my opinion, because I can't pretend to know the mind of God as some do, but think about this...all prayers are answered, just not always exactly when you wish they would be. I still remember praying for wisdom. I was sooo upset and confused, so I went to a park near where I lived, and knelt and prayed for wisdom. That was a really long time ago. I think I am almost there...😉

And...if God was your father (and He is), and you hadn't spoken to him for a few years and then you went and asked Him for money, would He jump right on it? Whereas if you went to "visit" him once a week (at least), and you really let Him know that you love Him a LOT...hmm? Again, just my opinion, and opinions are like....ahem...bellybuttons. Everyone has one.

The thing about it is if you pray for an answer, you will get it. But it might not be an answer you expect, nor as soon as you want it.

So you aren't agonist anymore. I don't know if he will respond to you or not. But you surely will get confidence, strength and some sense of direction when you have faith on God.
