How do you deal with failure?

More specifically when you did your best but you still failed.
SW-User Best Comment
If you know you did your best, then just accept it as a lesson. Analyse why you failed. Strategise the next move.
But don't take it personally and get demotivated. Sometimes we fail.

Thank you. 😁

I don't deal with it well but I need to learn to in order to be successful. That's my new years resolution.
I just never try again and focus on small attainable but ultimately unfulfilling goals. Why?
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
@DarlingSelah because you love me and want to interact with me more and I never post 🤣
@Turtlepower yeah what an exciting exchange this has been for me

@DarlingSelah whoa whoa, don't get too frisky now, but you're welcome

I deal with my failures by reminding myself I have failed before and then life went on and everything was ok and it will be the same this time
Especially that everyone else is also busy dealing with their own failures to focus on mine

I think failure is a bigger problem than it actually is because a lot of the times it includes embarrassment
Like what people think of me

feeling sorry for yourself gets you no where
oldercanuck1 · 70-79, M
you look to see where you went wrong then pick yourself up and carry on and do not make the same mistake again ,,

I lay back and fall asleep
@SW-User I’m with you. I may eat something first tho
Usually it makes me approach everything with more aggression and determination even though I know I couldn't have tried any harder.
Northerner · 70-79, M
@LilPuckBunny I like your determination. Never give in.

Try to learn from it. Hard as that sounds
fddlpej · 61-69, M
It happens all the time to people. It makes it better when things work out for you and you understand how hard it is to get it perfect. You also know how to have empathy for others.

Failures used to drive me mad. Have to realize they are life lessons and carry on....

I try to learn from it, probably my biggest failure was my marriage

Not very well :/
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
As long as I tried my absolute best I'm ok. I do, however, study the situation in hindsight and learn from it...figure out where I went wrong so next time I can zig where I zagged.

I ate a family sized bucket of KFC then punched out the nice policeman who came to arrest me for pissing in the corner because the toilets were shut

Those kinds of failures are the most useful! They can help you identify gaps in skills that you have, and other areas where you might need to improve.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
We often learn more from adversity. Learn from it. If you truly did your best hold your head up high and move forward.
If I'd failed doing my best of fall back, reevaluate, regroup and replan. And stay positive
JustNik · 51-55, F
Beat myself up about it for a bit and then put it under the microscope.
Northerner · 70-79, M
I will be sure to let you know if that ever happens to me.
zainababbas · 22-25, F
Consider it not being destined for me
