Just thinking...

With Christmas upon us I can't help but notice how it has changed over the years...Hectic, busy, stressful, exhausting, seeming to bring out the worst in people more and more. It doesn't have to be that way and the solution is simple...RELAX. And it's not just Christmas or any other holiday for that matter, nor is it any other thing in life. Things often get complicated because PEOPLE make it so a lot more than it is or should be. It doesn't have to be elaborate, or done right now (and most people put it of to the last minute anyway). Peace is a common word used a lot at Christmas but it seems to be anything but peaceful. Not everything has to be "perfect", it doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate ("done right"), and not everything has to be jam-packed full with activities to be nice, beautiful, fulfilling, satisfying, and highly enjoyable. With the advent of the new year, maybe we should all make it more of a point to be a bit more easy-going, laid back, and contemplative...just RELAX more and more often, stop obsessing and stressing about things so much. Everything doesn't have to be a "rat-race", a "competition", or a "production". Even when life throws things at us, I think we'd be much better off if we learned to take it in stride more...it would be better for our society, our world, and each other.馃巹馃

That's exactly what im doing. People tend to put pressure on themselves to do this that the other. But forget to enjoy it. This is why it becomes a burden. I get other people dont help but detach yourself if you need to. I did and its the best thing i did

@Gangstress That's how we handle it. We created our own set of traditions and we decorate things simply but nice. We just put distance between us and the rest of the world who continue to turn the holidays into a free for all.
