One year I was a little short, and I wanted to buy my daughter-in-law a beautiful gift, but I just couldn't afford it. So I gave her a necklace I had stopped wearing because the matching earrings need repair.
She actually likes it, and I have seen her wear it, and I am wondering if I should throw the broken earrings away. When I die she and my son will clean out my place and they will probably find the earrings...then she will know my guilty secret!!!馃か

@4meAndyou oh thats ok, I'm sure she would have understood if she knew the story. Christmas is about sharing what you have not bleeding yourself dry of money. then you would be the one in need.

no, if I'm not going to use or appreciate something then I don't feel bad about giving it away, unless it has sentimental value like you said

I don't re-gift anything. Still keeping silly stuff from my childhood friends.
