remember how i told you we had a muslim as guest for christmas and he was my brothers friend?

well he wasnt my brothers "friend" my brother met him at work ... he was from over-seas

My Muslim friends celebrate chrismas. Central Europe here. They say
- It's basically a family fest;
- Jesus is a prophet in Islam too.

@FleshLIfe Over here in Europe Muslim parents [u]have to[/u] celebrate Christmas because it would be hard to explain why Santa doesn't like their kids.

@helenS Yes. I knew a devout Muslim. Whenever he mentioned Jesus, he always followed it with "peace be upon Him".

OK but no big deal. My son, while in college always invited foreign exchange students, many were Muslim, to our home over their Christmas break and they appreciated the invitation. We always asked about any diet restrictions and accomadted what they were. It was "educational" on everyone's part. They were as interested in how we celebrated Christmas as we were interested in their holiday worship. It's really amazing , minor differences, but we are all basically the same human beings through the the world.
Just wish people would just open their minds!!!!
