For those of you who believe we're not experiencing the best era of human history, what was the best era of human history?

Yet to come

With all the wars, killings, destruction and exploitation of fellow humans and nature happening in EVERY era, there never has been a best era.

@SW-User Well, those things happen(ed) a lot more in some eras than others.

I think the best era is yet to come.
I can't answer this question because I honestly believe things are getting better all the time. Yes we've got some problems. Global warming is the challenge of this Era and we're failing to address it but on many many many fronts the world is getting better. one of the Primary reasons people disagree with me is that the primary rule of media is if it bleeds it leads, so the media being ratings driven instead of content driven will go where they think the clicks are and unfortunately people find good news boring and bad news exciting so whenever something like ISIS transpires the media naturally hyperfocuses on the violence even though the world is getting more peaceful.
Maybe men are but a huge percentage of women are being murdered, raped and stalked more than ever. For most women this is the worst time to be alive.
@lightshinesthroughdarkness Not worse than when we couldn’t vote, earn money or own property. I wouldn’t trade with my grandmother’s era for anything.

@lightshinesthroughdarkness Certainly true of some countries, like Brazil, but industrialism has a way of stopping rapists in most nations. Brazil could really use some better law enforcement, and it's become a political crisis in recent years.

the age of hunter-gatherers
The 1950s.
In my country, the 1960s were pretty pivotal.
